Here's how you can help. We are currently looking for a Regional Language Coordinator to join our team and rise to the challenge of empowering service.
Position Highlights:
Provide bilingual linguistic and administrative support to the department, building and Lions.
Responsible for processing all expense claims from area governors, maintaining district leadership
records and contact information, handling tasks such as club status and name changes and ordering
and distributing badges and pins. Position includes some translation of correspondence or other
materials from non-English into English and from English into non-English languages.
What You’ll Do:
- Translate correspondence, website updates as needed, and some publications from English
into non-English languages to support translator/s in a given language. - Utilize language skills to work as a liaison between LCI/LCIF staff and Lions in the field.
- Send and coordinate timely responses to emails received in the Department inbox.
- Perform administrative functions in conjunction with translation responsibilities (e.g. may include
requesting and/or running reports, material distribution, expense claim processing, assisting
with webinars in the respective language, etc.) - Act as the liaison with regional leadership or regional, multiple district, district offices where
applicable, maintaining distribution information and address confirmation tasks. Collaborate with
other departments to improve processes. - Assist with the planning and coordination of visits by delegations or members.
- Maintain, organize, and file department documents (e.g. documentation on vacancy fillings,
name changes, mergers, redistricting, club status information. - Badge ordering, proofing and distribution.
- Maintain and orders office supplies for the department.
- Conduct tours of the LCI Headquarters for non-English-speaking visitors.
- Provides training and, occasionally, direction for new employees as needed.
- Work within department budget goals and guidelines.

We’re Looking for Someone With:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in a foreign language or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in a bilingual customer service or translation.
- Strong aptitude for collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook. - Familiarity with communication tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar
applications.

Compensation: Hourly, $24- 27/hr.
